Damon Braces

The Damon brace is a fixed brace , which is fitted to the front of the teeth. It is suitable for all types of crooked teeth teeth.

The main advantage of the Damon brace is it straightens teeth by widening the upper and lower jaws. Which means there is less need to take teeth out for your brace treatment.

At The Park Dental Clinic we see many patients who would like to improve their smile. Having crooked or misaligned teeth can negatively affect how we feel about our smile, and can have an overall impact on our self-confidence. At the same time, many adult patients are put off seeking orthodontic treatment because they picture traditional metal wire and bracket braces that are very obvious and have lengthy treatment times. These days, however, thanks to advances in orthodontic treatment, there are many fast and discreet treatments available.
We use Damon braces to treat many of our orthodontics patients. The Damon brace system is a revolutionary way of treating patients who want straighter teeth, eliminating the need for rubber or metal ties because the braces are self-ligating, using a slide mechanism to hold the wires. This is the most advanced full brace system available, enabling teeth to be moved more quickly into their new position without the use of high forces and instead using light memory wires that require fewer adjustments than traditional braces. In most cases the Damon system does not require the extraction of any healthy teeth, which is better for your overall dental health.
Because the system does not use any rubber ties, which cause pressure, friction and discomfort, as well as being quicker than traditional braces the Damon system is also a lot more comfortable.
We offer two options for Damon braces, either using discreet metal wires and brackets or for maximum discretion the Damon Clear system, which uses tooth-coloured brackets and clear wires, making them barely noticeable.
- Discreet, with clear options available
- Gentle, moving teeth without excessive force
- Faster treatment time than conventional braces
- No rubber ties, meaning no friction and making cleaning easier during treatment
- In most cases, no need to have teeth extracted
