| While you wait: our lounge is fully air-conditioned and refreshments are available.
The initial consultation is a two way process; it allows you to meet the team and ask any questions; and it allows us to find out about any concerns that you may have about the health of your teeth and gums. You will be asked to fill in a medical questionnaire and a ‘smile survey’ to help us identify whether you would like to improve your smile in any way.
We use intra oral cameras, so you can see exactly what we, the dentists, see. Whilst digital X-rays allow us to identify any hidden problems.
Dental report: After your consultation, you will be given a comprehensive dental report, which outlines your dental health, recommendations for treatment and the costs involved. The cost varies from person to person, depending on the amount of treatment required. For further information about costings and payment options, please click here.
During treatment: as some treatments take longer than others, we have installed televisions in each consultation room, so you can choose to watch from a whole host of DVDs.
Nervous patients: because many people feel nervous about visiting the dentist, our lounge has been designed to offer a professional, relaxed and friendly atmosphere that puts all our patients at ease. If you need to, you can remain in the lounge and meet our team in a non-clinical environment, until such time as you feel happy to go ahead with your treatment.
We realise, however, that for some people, a visit to the dentist can be both frightening and stressful. As a result, we offer a range of sedation techniques to help you to relax fully.
During treatment we will take the time to explain exactly what we are going to do before we do it - and, if you need to take a break from treatment at any time, you can.
If you are nervous about visiting the dentist please inform us when you book your appointment so we can fully cater for your needs. |
