At the park dental clinic there are two types of whitening, in house surgery whitening, and home whitening kits.<\/p>\n
The in house whitening treatment involves you being at the clinic for up to and hour and a half. In this time the dentist will apply and barrier cream to the gums to protect the gums while the treatment is carried out, the dentist then applies the whitening solution to the teeth and uses a special whitening lamp over the teeth to activate the solution. Once the first cycle has finished the dentist will then remove the solution from the teeth and the procedure is repeated until the desired shade is achieved.<\/p>\n
\u00a0The home whitening treatment involve the patient coming into the clinic and having impressions of the teeth taken, the impressions are then sent to the laboratory to make personalized trays for the patient to use. The personalized trays then hold the whitening solution against the surface of the tooth. The home whitening treatment gradually lightens the shade of the tooth, and repeated over a course of time until it reached the desired shade.<\/p>\n
